SC Video Converter is a simple tool designed to convert your video files into formats that are compatible with your PC, iPod or PSP. It supports batch conversion, allowing multiple files to be converted into the same format in one single operation. It includes different video and audio settings, providing different levels of quality.
With SC Video Converter you can open any AVI, MOV, FLV, MP4, WMV, ASF or MPEG file and convert it to the video codec that best suits your PC, iPod or PSP. The PC option offers you the widest variety of video file formats, allowing you to convert to WMV, MPEG, OGG, OGM, MP4, ASF, MOV or AVI, while for both iPod and PSP, MP4 is the only format available.
However, both video and audio settings offer some degree of flexibility. Within the MP4 standard, you have the possibility of choosing either H.264 or MP4V as your preferred codec. You can also upscale or downscale the output size of your video, from 0.25 to 1.25. Video bit rate is also selectable, with a by-default setting of 1024 kbps.
When it comes to audio, bit rates supported range from 96 to 512, 128 kbps being the pre-set bit rate. The number of audio channels can also be selected–mono or stereo.
